Optional Google sign-in
If you sign in, we use your Google account identifier to save your reading position, completed chapters, audio positions, and display preferences on the church’s server so you can continue on other devices. Google provides a verified email for sign-in; no Gmail inbox access is requested. When you read while signed in, your verified email is shown with your visit in the private admin statistics. Account progress is stored separately from readership statistics and is kept until you delete it. Signing out restores this browser’s guest progress. Other devices receive saved updates when a reading page is opened or reloaded.
Community reading statistics
To understand how the reading plan is used, the site records your IP address, browser and operating system, approximate city/region/country, page views, last activity, current chapter, completed chapters, and current audio chapter. A random device cookie links return visits. The admin dashboard also summarizes daily reach, reading starts, returning devices, audio use, and reported chapter completion to help the church understand participation. Visits are grouped into sessions after 30 minutes without reading activity; we store each visit’s start, last activity, page-view count, entry page, and latest page. An observed visit span is an estimate, not proof of time spent reading. This cookie does not give us your name or email.
Location is estimated from your IP using a database stored on our server. We do not request GPS location or send your IP to a geolocation service. Estimates can be incorrect, especially with VPNs and mobile networks. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
These statistics are stored on the church’s server and are available only in the password-protected admin dashboard. By default, device records are removed after 90 days of inactivity and visit sessions and daily counts after 90 days. Our hosting proxy may keep separate access logs. Audio recordings and suggested viewing open third-party services, which have their own privacy practices.
